Exercise Physiology

What is Exercise Physiology?

When you book in to see our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (EP), you can expect to be taken care of by a ‘University Qualified Exercise Professional’ holding a 4 year degree that focuses on using exercise as medicine for a large range of conditions.

In an Exercise Physiology consultation, you can expect to undergo an assessment of your health status, and exercise goals. The EP will ask you about your medical history, current medications, and any previous injuries or surgeries. They may also enquire about your lifestyle, including your diet, sleep habits, or stress levels. Based on this information, the exercise physiologist will perform a series of tests to evaluate your fitness, muscular strength, endurance, range of motion and/or flexibility.

You can expect your program to be evidence based and customised to your goals.

Current common conditions our patients have who book our exercise physiology consultations: Cardiac health, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Diabetes management, Weight loss, Pain and rehabilitation, Mental health, trouble activating muscles, low motivation patient and patients wanting accountability for exercise, strength and conditioning patients, patients lost and overwhelmed with exercise and not knowing where to begin.
